Plastic 4x3 egg cartons? Anyone ever bought these for selling eggs?

Just got an INCREDIBLE deal on the 4x3 plastic cartons on eggcartons.com! Buy one bundle of 300 get 300 FREE! And it was only $54.95 under their Summer Sizzler Special and they had emailed me a code for free shipping yesterday...pretty sure I won't have to buy anymore cartons for quite some time

This really does seem like a good deal! I was wondering if you know if this particular kind is recyclable? Hopefully people would save them-but incase they don't....also, if I ordered this deal-my girls had better get busy!

..... 600 cartons and only nine chickens-maybe I need more chickens!

This is what the description says..."Old Fashion Style Egg Cartons. Clear Polystyrene #6 Plastic Product. This carton fits egg sizes: S-M-L-XL. Sturdy, sharp new style. This egg carton holds 12 eggs in the old 3 x 4 style. It has a flat top, great for labels.Tabs Lock lid into place. Carton closure method allows eggs to breathe." So if they accept #6 in your area you should be all set for recycling them, I always hope they return them, but I suppose with this many cartons I shouldn't fear running out anytime soon! lol

And I'm a firm believer in getting more chickens, provided you have the room for them...of course you could always make more room

I bought 200 of these last year when they were selling some off color ones from the warehouse real cheap. The plastic is sturdy & I like them. I had used the regular configuration plastic ones before. They are super easy to clean for the ones you reuse.

Thank you for sharing.

I found off color cartons for duck eggs at a very low price and placed an order for 400 6-pack egg cartons for $25.90. I hope they are good because they are darn cheap. That free shipping makes a huge difference.
