Plastic in the coop

I have my coop in mid construction and was going to use thick reinforced plastic lumber wrap over the walls to cut down on drafts in the winter as my rentovated shed is fairly drafty ,Will the chickens peck at or eat the plastic wrap?

Your climate is very much like mine and the plastic will break down and be damaged by wind and freezing temps. Better to insulate properly and save those chicks!
