Plastic tub Coop?

So I was just thinking..you know those giant plastic
tubs, well I was think using a couple for my chickens and
cutting little doors in them and putting a nest box in them and use the
lid on top for easy cleaning and such I thought it was a pretty good idea
and if there was wind just put a couple bricks on top or in side on the corners for people who have
non-tarped runs, But other then that I have a tarped 12x12 run so theres no moisture
or bad weather that gets in. Tell me if theres any flaws with this idea?

i have used those to transport birds and also if something happens to isolate. try it and see how it goes.

it's really small, too much work also. I say you should just build a big shed, to grow, since you got the incubator for xmas. It's probably the best option. How many bantams and how many standards do you have? Plus 2 ducks! Bigger is better. Do you have anyone to help you build a coop?

The main thing I'd be careful of is whether there's enough ventilation in there. Because plastic is totally nonabsorptive it could get real humid real quick in there (unlike wooden structures, where the wood itself will absorb some moisture and evaporate it off outside, and where there's usually some 'incidental' ventilation unless you're a real good carpenter).

If you can keep that under control and keep the wind from blowing it away (it'll take more than just a couple bricks) it might work!

I made a couple of "houses" out of big tubs with a nice hole cut in the lid for my girls to lay eggs in sitting out in the yard, they will use one for that but I also have 3 buff cochins and 3 big mixed egg layers that sleep in one together! But I have a pen around it.
