Thank you, but the fact that I was never asked out by any guy in high school, repeatedly told overtly or obliquely that I wasn't good-looking by various people has had its effect on me. Also, my "Clutch Cargo" smile doesn't help. If anyone even gets that reference ...

I'm sure your thoughts of your looks are not true, Besides someone's beauty is not telling of how beautiful they are as a person.

Doesn't help that DH's friend refers to his first wife as "the pretty one." And that DH is a former musician who has not only jammed with Rush but also had his share of dates with groupies, strippers, models, singers, etc ...

First time I heard it DH's high school friend was over and while I was folding laundry in the next room (house is only 600 sq. feet) I heard friend say something about "wife." DH replied, "Who, Jess?" "No, your first wife ... the pretty one, Dawn."

I think a lot of the animosity towards Hugh is caused by his Business. He looks a lot better than most guys his age. Of course most wealthy people have a tendency to look good into old age. He might even be a really nice guy. Never can tell.
