Playing Possum?

Hello Chicken Experts!

Today I opened our small, 4 bird, coop and found an opossum sleeping (??) in one of the next boxes. There he was all curled up cute and fuzzy...My DH moved him out of the coop with a pitchfork and he seemed stiff as a board. Do you think he was dead or just playing?

Dead or alive it needed to go. I've had several people tell me how possums killed their chickens. One lady I know lost 25 to possums.

You need to go ahead and tighten up your coop so no predators of any type can get in.
