Hello. I’m wondering if anyone is able to identify this worm. I’m perplexed with what it is and affects how I treat my hens.
I noticed movement in one of my hen cecal droppings so I picked her and 4 others that seemed likely to have them and began the 5 day safe guard treatment. .23 per pound of weight. I weighed each bird and draw up amount in syringe.
On day 2 I noticed these worms on another cecal droppings (not one of the 5 I’m treating). I’ve dealt with tapes before and it doesn’t really seem like them. They are light coloured and small. They were moving and looked like how an inch worm moves. They did NOT look like a white grain of rice. I found the tapes moved more in and out and erratic.
Anyways the pic I have is most likely from one of my girls that has had 2 treatments. (3 more to go). These were dead in her poop. The worm is on the left.
Anyone know what these are?
ETA. The pic is enlarged a lot! This worm is very tiny

I have a video and pic. I’m almost wondering if it could be a fly larvae. I’m not finding any info on a type of worm like this.

They are maggots. Closely inspect your birds for fly strike at, in, or around the vent area.
Gross! Ok thanks. I’ve dealt with flystrike several years ago and it wasn’t fun. Most of my birds are friendly so I’m checking often but I’ll check the others!!
