Hi folks, new here obviously.
It seems every time I did a search for some info BYC came up in the search and I'd find myself browsing the forums so I figured I'd sign up!
My wife and I started raising chickens about 3 mos ago. Some were about 3 weeks old and 4 were day old hatchlings. All were RIR's. We also acquired a black star rooster who is named Darla. Weird but my daughters named him before we knew he was a he and he still looked like a barred rock hen. We've since added some laying comets that are older and we just picked up 3 Black Java hens today which we are most excited about and are what we ate most excited to learn more about!
