PLEASE ANSWER!!! Are leghorns good chickens?

I’ve had 8 from Ideal. They got along with the others. We handled them & they are good. Lost 3 to reproductive issues like Bruster said.

Mine are the top hens & keep everyone straight. I wouldn’t say they are aggressive.

Yes, definitely not aggressive. Ours is actually a sweetie pie but she'd rather be left alone most of the time. We have some on the other hand that hop on my shoulder for a snuggle all the time and escape the yard to come find me!!

Leghorns are pretty mellow chickens, social and friendly. They lay a lot of eggs and are pretty friendly.

In my experience they are amazing egg layers, but they do get bored quick compared to other breeds and they DO peck the others when bored. (they've done harm to my ducks twice)

I have had both brown and white leghorns. I too would say that they are very good layers but flighty. I haven't had any that were aggressive however. They have not been bullies, they just panic at every little thing.

Yes, I just love Leghorns. I have three of them, and all are gentle and VERY good layers.
