Dont let it get over 101-102 if its still air
99.5 if with fan. Yes make sure its the right temp for 24 hours at least don't want to burn them up .Steady temp is critical to a hatch
I wouldnt wash them
They say it drives germs through the porous shell and contaminates the yolk etc...
MOm hen doesn't wash them does she ?
GEt your humidity right too First Add a little water or a sponge to the bottom and get a hygrometer from ebay or at a cigar store.($10 )
Should get it about 40 ish% humidity Once its all running smoothly add your eggs and Yes as someone side 0 one side and X the other then hand turn OR put them in an egg carton
Put holes In the bottom of eggs holes first for circulation and tilt it 2-3 times a day one way then the other.
Set the end up on the top of the egg carton end you will be disgarding anyway
Just cut it as wide as the carton is and prop the carton on it
Easiest cheapest way
