Hi! I'm new to this site and was wondering if there are any chicken breeds that live only around five years? That is as long as I can keep them and I would really like some. I will definitely not kill them (I would never be able to and I am a pescetarian). Please answer! Thank you!

I know of no short-lived chickens. Their lifespan is 10 years or more.

There is the possibility that you could get some older birds. But-they will not lay well or at all.

Well, these are live animals, but most chickens gotten from hatchies, and they often only live about 3-5 years. However, those are statistics, people on here often post very old chickens.

Really I think that you might reconsider your ideas. However, people buy, trade and sell their flocks all the time.
