My chicken had an edoscopy and general anesthetic last monday for a susspected crop blockage but she hasnt got that, turns out she has a diverticulum (pouch of skin by the crop that shouldnt be there, a defect) anyhow vet said she should be ok and live with it.
when i picked her up from vets she'd pooped on the white blanket in her crate and the liquid from the poop that had seeped into the blanket looked pink. the vet had left but the nurse said it looked ok to her.
ever since my hen has had odd coloured urates in her poop and im not sure if i should be worried. i checked the poop chart and this looked like the coral poop but the chart info says this is commonly passed at night and my hens doing it most of the day. she has the normal dark brown liquidy ones in between.
the pics dont show the colour too well, the brown part is normal brown but the bit thats meant to be white (urates) is a coral almost pinky colour as you can see below the pinky colour seeps into the newspaper. this was the paper i removed from under her roost last night.
im not sure if this is blood being passed. any help or opinions will be greatly appreciated. xx

That looks like blood to me, I would keep an eye on it. Can you post a picture of a "normal" poop? FWIW, one of my peafowl had similar colored poop and I could smell the blood in it.

These are abnormal

Thank you for responding, this is a recent one she did on top of the coop, i just grabbed it and put it on kitchen towel, didnt look wet around the spot i got it and poop seem normally moist , no runny bits. i smelt it but it dosnt smell of anything really certainly not a strong blood smell. white bit is still a pinky colour thou.

casportpony, what happened to your peafowl? did you find out why she had blood?
Those were six different birds in the last 8 months. Each time I found a poop like that the peachick recovered after several days of metronidazole (Flagyl) and de-worming, so my best guess is that it was blackhead (histomoniasis). All six are still alive.
