PLEASE COULD SOMEONE ADVISE?? HONKING QUACKING DUCK

Hi, i have asked this question before and got some really great answers however ... my female Khaki Campbell duck is every so often running around quacking and honking her feather all bunched up and her neck close to her body.

She has been doing this every so often for a month or so. She doesnt have a nest, she hasnt laid for a good couple of months but the ducks are deffo mating (there is just her and a male).

Just wondering if this has been going on for a while now if this is still normal behaviour. She has only started doing this over the past couple of months and has NEVER done it before. They are both three years old.

She does seem to quieten down when they are put in there house for the night.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions

she is scared. my ducks do it when they see something they do not like or are scared of (like the broom lol, no idea why)

Some of those things like the fluffed up feathers could be broodiness, especially if she hasn't been laying.

Sounds like me Saxony girls when they are broody. They get crazy eyes and get all puffed even when just walking by. If they could froth at the mouth, they would be. I am so happy they are starting to come out of it for the season and becoming sweet calm ducks again.

Sounds like mine ive, got a pekin, Rouen and runner all doing it, not the most fetching look, but hey.. i blame broodiness.

Yes, I second that a video would help provide a look into the behavior if possible

It sounds like my girl when she's broody/about to be broody. She fluffs up, pulls her neck in and zooms around shouting her grumpy quack with an occasional peepy squeek. I think it's adorable.
