Thank you so much for the reorg. I have not been as active since the board got so big because General Discussion got so muddled it was really hard to keep up. I think having the Order of catagories changed forces people to scan the topics for the most appropriate and It will make for much easier reading.

Mods, you all rock. I know many of you are doing double duty at the EZ board as well. I can't thank you enough for keeping these wonderful places going, to share our experiences and make friends.

Thanks (from me and the wonderful mods) to everyone for your comments, help, support and friendliness... what a great group of people we've got here!

Regarding combining the two forums: The posts in each forum (emergency & disease/cures) seem pretty similar. There aren't a "ton" of posts in either section where combining them would make the forum unwieldy (like General was). I'm pretty sure I'm going to merge them tonight unless I hear otherwise.

Spot on jimnjay, this is exactly why the mods thought it would be a good idea to rename and move General. We all need to do a better job of posting in the right section and the forum reog hopefully will make that easier.

Okay, the two forums have been merged into one glorious "Emergencies / Diseases and Cures" forum!

We weighed the pro's and con's and the pro's won. One of our wonderful mods, adoptedbyachicken, made another great point: When searching for a problem / disease / cure it is much easier to search one definitive forum instead of trying to search in two.

Thanks everyone for your help and support. I think we're done with all the major changes for now.

Then another one of our fabulous moderators (yes, they are all pretty darn amazing) terrielacy, suggested we create a section for the old topics that were really fun, popular, informative, etc. Basically a "Notable Archive"

Still working out the details, but for now, every post is still on the forum and is searchable.

This place is getting so popular so fast, maybe it's time to launch a "chicken lovers" dating service and call the forum "Meet Birds etc."

It could be one of those interchangeable forums. It would be up to you who you wanted to meet/meat.

How about a "Chicken Psychology" forum?

We could discuss things like:

"Are chickens raised under a mother's feathers happier, smarter and more productive than those shipped mail order at birth?"

"Does the presence of a roo have impact on flock well being?"

And, we could even have an annual "Happiest Chicken" photo contest (i'm a photographer on the side

Now back to your regularly scheduled chicken tending...
