Please explain Lavender

Can someone please explain where the Lavender gene came from and/or how it was created?

It’s a autosomal recessive mutation that first appeared in d’uccles in the early 1900’s, making the d’uccles porcelain. It then was discovered in the 70’s that the porcelain color was caused by the gene (mutation).

The lavender gene dilutes pigment to a lighter color.
Specifically dilutes black and red/brown pigments.
It was a mutation.
