Please Guys I Need Help With Flies ...what Can I Do

Hello guys I am having lot of flies in my backyard and neighbors are complaining

I went to do it best and bough some spray but didnt work

also I have tried the diposable bag that you put water in and sticks very bad, is not catching anything

please any suggestions

I have some ducks , quails and 1 turkey

all of them are in raised cages

i used these little fly catchers when my pigs were ridden with flys. they are little hanging things that are sticky that attract flys and they stick to it and get caught and die. just hang those up in the coop where the chickens cant get at them

I also got one of the bag traps from Lowe's...
Hung it in the coop and I swear we had 100 times more flies...
Then we hung it about 4 feet from the coop door in a tree...
Flies are not a problem now... Try that with a new bag trap and see if that works...

Keep things dry and clean, and the problem should go away.

Trapping doesn't really do much good, since it just attracts more flies

Flies, I hate 'em! I just got a big load of steer doo-doo from my in-laws and the smell is awful and the flies are insane! I just hope the neighbors don't think it's the chickens! I put up the fly strips and put some DE on the pile to help dry it out. They seem to be helping with the problem. Good luck.

I got one of those stink bag traps at Wallyworld. Initially I thought it was a gimmick. Boy was I wrong! After it heated up outside- like two days, there were so many flies in it, it bulged. Just don't put it anywhere near where you wander- it smells like a rotting body.
A tin can half full with a mix with Golden Malrin and water wonders wonders too, plus no smell.

This is somewhat related, but I read on the traps for Japanese beetles not to put them within 30 feet of where you're having a problem. Put them where the problem is and you just draw them in.
