Please help!! 11 dead chickens

Thanks to everyone for the advice. My husband Will get to work re enforcing the coop this weekend.
I failed to mention earlier that I fell off a ladder while working on the coop on August 7th. I shattered my right heel. I am still on crutches after a metal plate and 5 screws in my heel. We were getting the coop ready for our babies
All of this because I wanted chickens for my 51st birthday! This entire chicken venture has proven alot more costly than originally anticipated.

I think so too....do you know that any of the neighbors have dogs. Black dogs?

I saw 2 stray dogs today in a park near our home. One was black, one was gold like a retreiver. They were both at the size of a lab. My neighbors all have their dogs fenced.

that could also be potential predators aswell. dogs can digest raw meat. ive lost a few chickens to dogs too

Can you post a pic of the torn hardware cloth??

wow, chewed thru hardware cloth--it must have been hungry because that is no easy thing to do and hardware cloth is 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size. I have one whole side of my coop that is hardware cloth and have had no problems (knock on wood) we have coyote, fox, mink, bob cat, bear, the list goes on. do you have any bobcat in your area, they have some brown spots on them?---
