hello, i havent been on the forum in a little while but i am in need of some help and i am hoping some of you could help me please,
i went out to let me chickens out this morning about a half hour ago 8 am my time and when i did my once over like i do every morning to check to make sure everyone is okay and no one got hurt the night before, the coop was okay etc.....upon opening the coop doors i discovered that one of my 17wk old pullet buff orphingtons was not moving very much and laying in the nest box. She seemed to look like she was having neurological problems so i waited til everyone else got out of the coop to see if she was going to move she stood up a little bit but that was all so i grabbed her and brought her out into the bigger part of the coop to examine her. upon examining her there was no marks, scratches, breaks, her neck wasnt broken she could still hold it up even tho she was choosing to lay it down and try and fall asleep, she was still standing and holding all her weight, she is still making squeaking noises.... she is still reacting to fast movement she is drinking little bits of sugar water that i have been giving her since i brought her in the house now and little bit of ACV that i have been giving her!! But i have her in a little secure box with a warm towel and she is standing still bobbing her head up and down, wobbling it all over like she is nodding in and out of consciousness, she is breathing normally, still drinking, still rubbing her beak against the container, she is also reacting to my dogs coming near her i just can not figure out what is wrong with her why she is not moving around why she is falling asleep randomly and what happened idk what else to do? please someone help me figure out what is wrong with her this is my daughter new baby chicken, or if i have to just play it out and see how she will do throughout the day ? i just dont know what my next step is the last chicken i had that did this she ate a poisonous frog and then passed away 3 days later i am curious if anyone thinks thats what this is my chickens completely free range is maybe she ate something that is making her sick ? thank you so much ahead of time for your help and for just reading my post!!!
