One chick has his head tucked to the right. We’re standing and walking around- everything ok and came down this morning to find both on their sides and trying to get up?

:( Dip their beaks into electrolyte water with vitamins in it if you can, once an hour. Make sure they are warm enough. I'm afraid it may be hopeless at this point though.

This years order for me 3/10 went to their knees before the third day.The rest are all still alive and kicking. I just think this breeder I had used doesn't have the best quality. I don't suspect it was my issue or husbandry. Last years stock all went 10/10.

Thank you anyway. We have some pekins the same age and they so much healthier and livelier. I winder if the parents were not that healthy

Under our articles I seem to remember there was an article regarding incubating shipped eggs. Probably worth a read and ask yourself how long did I let the Air sac rest before incubating them? (types of questions) There is always a good lesson to be learned from every failed attempt. I'm not trying to suggest you are responsible, but see what your more experienced peers are doing and then the whys if you diverge from their method. :frow

Always open to advice as we have have always got our chickens at pol so new to incubating. I let them sit for 24 hours point down. So many variables so will go over everything we have done and investigate. In the mean time these two chicks are up and down. One improved and one no change. Don’t seem to be suffering but will cull if needbe . I’m sure it is wry neck and wonder about the parents vitamin intake and diet? Also shipping and temp/humidity during incubation?
