Please help! 2-day-old Mallard Duckling

With one so tiny I’d just do tiny drops of the liquid b just inside the bill. Especially with the wry neck going on. Just take your time and go slow with tiny drops. Are you going to turn this little one over to wild life rehabbers? Or is this one of your Mallards?

Actually that's one of my concerns. My parents want to keep it and I would like to as well, but I don't know much about keeping ducks at home. I've never had ducks before, all I've had is dogs. The mom duck I found was a random one around the neighborhood. I do have my ag teacher from school who helped me, and if it's better for it to go back in the wild or a farm or something, I could ask her about it. What would be the best?

Actually it’s illegal to take an egg or duckling out of the wild. Stiff fines from what I’ve read. But saying that I understand your wanting to help. Contacting a wild life rehabber and hopefully your age teacher can help there can assure that the duckling will be treated so that it can go back into the wild once old enough and it will have other ducklings to grow up with. Rehabbers are trained to know what to do.

I had no idea it was illegal :( but this poor thing probably would've died though :( is it still illegal if it was in my front yard? And thank you, I'll talk to my ag teacher about this!

It’s a wild duck protected by law. I’d say it doesn’t matter where the nest was. I know I would have done just like you. Just talk with your ag teacher about what would be the best decision. And don’t worry I don’t think wild life authorities are going to come to your door and carry you off. You found this abandoned duckling. It happens all the time.

Ok, thank you so much for the advice!

Hello, I have one more question. She's moving around more and seems to stand up a bit better buy I don't think she's eating/drinking enough. She poops but because she eats/drinks much less than before, the amount she poops decreased. Do I need to hold her and help her eat/drink? Also how much B complex per day do I need to give her? I know the E is 1 400 iu capsule a day.

Yes, you will need to cup her with your hand and offer her food, you can dip her bill in water for a second to make her drink, you'll need to do this often. I would just give her a couple of drops of the B complex orally.
