Ok, thank you so much!!!If her legs are positioned where they should be then yes you did it right. It looks good. As for walking it will takes some getting use to but she youwill so don’t give up.
About that, i put the rubbery thing you put on shelves but that made her walking worse so i just took it out. Is it ok if she's just on the shavings? Or should i try to straighten it out?Oh a make sure there are no wrinkles in the towel so she isn’t tripping over hills.
Thank you!!!@Roa Wow, I just read through most of this thread and you are doing such a good job taking care of this baby duck! I'm so impressed that you're figuring out what she needs and helping her along so well. A bandaid is a good idea for hobbles as long as you can keep it stuck. I used first aid tape last summer when I hobbled my duck. It is that stuff that is soft and stretchy, gauze-like, and sticks to itself, not the duck. It worked really well and my duck wore it for 2-3 weeks. Your little guy hasn't gotten the hang of walking yet, so it might be hard at first to get used to them. Mine were 3-4 weeks by the time I used hobbles so it wasn't a big deal for them. I will attach a picture so you can see what they looked like. View attachment 2094447
