I think she might have a concussion because I found her basically laying down like she was dead. When I picked her up she spazzed until she realized it was me and calmed down. She wont really walk except small steps and when I set her down in he coop she went and curled up in a corner and drifted off. I took a cardboard box and put some bedding in it and brought her in the warm house for the night but what else can I do for her? She is 14 weeks old and a Blue Polish Crested if it matters. Big thanks in advance

She's probably in shock. Can you tell if she has any broken bones? I would be giving her chicken electrolytes and nutrients asap...

Do you know the kid that did it? I would be infuriated and filing a report. Not acceptable. If one of my kids ever did something like that they would be regretting it for a long long time.

She may perk up more with rest, or she could die. I have had chickens injured by neighbor dogs who looked dead, and they have recovered to normal. I have had injured hens with no marks die 10 min. later. Let her rest tonight, in a dim and quiet spot, keep warm around 75-80 degrees, offer water in the morning or when she is alert enough. Look her over for injuries, puncture wounds, cuts, etc. Vetericyn wound spray is very good to use, or saline, Hibiclens, or betadine to clean wounds, then apply plain neosporin ointment. When looking better, offer chopped egg, tuna, feed mixed with water. See a vet if possible.

Can I give her gatorade or baby pedialyte? Ive been giving her water from a baby dropper but not sure if shes getting enough.

As for the kid its my first time seeing him. Apparently the neighbor took him in until his father gets back as he works on an oil rig. The kids mother just up and left him unfortunately. My kids came in and told me he was throwing rocks at the entire flock but when I went outside the neighbor had come and got me to show me what happened.

As for my hen she seems to be doing ok as when I went to check on her not to long ago she was up and taking small steps. Im a bit worried though as when I was checking her over I noticed her 1 eye wont really open and seems swollen. She also has tears coming out of it so I dont know if she got hit in the eye with a rock or what.

Also she keeps tilting her head back and letting her mouth hang open. Does anyone know what that is a sign of? Huge thank you to everyone. This is my first flock of hens and im new to all this.

Yes, either of those will work for electrolytes. Her eye could've gotten hit...I would try to get her to a vet if you can :( only so much you can do at home if she's seriously injured. The open mouth breathing could be a symptom of a lot of things...so hard to narrow that down. Does she have any open wounds or injuries?

It's unfortunate that kid is having a rough go of life, but it's only going to get worse for him if he chooses to take his frustrations out on helpless creatures. He needs to learn that now.
