I'll keep it simple. We had a broody hen. We got fertilized eggs and put her in a tractor separate from the flock. She got infested with mites. She was pretty sick. We took care of the mites. She gave up on the eggs. They've been abandoned for about 18 hours. Is there anything we can do to get her to sit on them?
Thanks in advance.

We had our eggs sitting for about 4 hours with the incubator unplugged, and they made it. Get an incubator soon as possible! How old are the eggs?

Okay,
We just went thru something similar.
Our chicken was on 6 eggs, she got off to eat and got back on the wrong eggs. We got home and they were completely cold. I got on this site and only got 1 response. If the eggs were viable, they will still hatch. We put her back on and she stayed on. 3 of those eggs hatched 3 days ago!!

As far as "putting her on", my advice is get a pet carrier, a large one if possible and make a nest in it with food and chick starter. Put her in the carrier. If she wants to sit, she will have no choice but to sit on her eggs. Do it soon tho!!

Good luck!!
