Please help ASAP !!!!!!!!!

My dog hates our chickens she's a hunting dog and likes to go after birds.Today we could hear her down at the chicken coop scratching at the fence and every time we would yell at her and tell her to knock it off we went down to make sure every thing was ok and we found one of our chickens with there head in the fence outside not stuck just sitting there anyway we went over to pull her out ( my dad thought she was dead but she was not) she was just in shock she normally runs away and today didnt care if we picked her up . She sat in my lap for about a half an hour as content as could be . We checked her over and found her toenail had been ripped off but she seems to be fine. We fenced off an area in the coop put food and water in there for her it's been over 2 hours she is still in shock and will eat and drink but just sits there. Other than keep her food and water filled and let her rest,do you know of anything I can do for her ??? Ps she is the chicken that all the others pick on and as for my dog she is cowering any time I walk by her she looks guilt and is in trouble plez help!!!!!

She will get better in time, but there are a few things you can try to expedite her recovery. I'm sure you have heard this, but you can hard boil some eggs or give her some yogurt (unflavored, unsweetened). Both will have protein which might give her a little more energy and perk her up a bit. I don't know if bringing her inside in a crate or something is an option for you, but this might help speed up the process also.

Thank you I will try those things and see if it helps she is doing fine just still is so shocked (I would be too) thank you
