Please help, BADLY cracked eggs

Yesterday, the bleeding egg was still moving just a little bit but by the evening, it was gone. The egg with the broken yolk was gone already before that.
It was just terrible when it happened but I thought maybe they could pull through. Poor babies. I feel bad for them and their momma. She has 3 more eggs and she is so determined to have ducklings.
I suspect my dog was the one that got in the nest and broke the eggs. I never let her out with eggs out and about because she cannot stop biting them. I think my oldest let her out but didn't put her in her run when coops were open in the day. I wish I had checked her eggs earlier but she is a biter and its easier when she is settled for the night. Ugh maybe they could have made it. Its so sad
Its so nice to have people that understand that they are pets and root for them along with me. Thank you for your advice. I wish I had a better update.

I'm sorry to hear about your eggs...you did tremendously well with them! The fact that they stayed alive that long is outstanding. I think most eggs would have died right away. You did everything you could for them.

You have more experience than most people in dealing with broken eggs now.
You have more experience than me...lol.

I really hope the remaining eggs hatch for your girl.

Thank you so much for this update. It's hard to update when the news isn't positive. I completely understand that. I very much appreciate you taking the time. I'm always wondering how everyone makes out on the threads I read. Plus your information may help someone else someday.
