PLEASE HELP. CAYUGA IS LETHARGIC!

I have a Cayuga.He seems lethargic and upon examination I noticed one of his eyes is red. Not like infection red but like blood behind his eye. Almost like when you take a picture of someone and the camera flash makes your eye look red. PLEASE HELP!

I'd wash out the eye with some saline you can make your own using 1/8th teaspoon of salt to 1 cup of warm water mix well them pour over the eye a few times a day if you don't notice any improvement in a few days go to local feed store and see if they carry Terrimycin eye ointment it will clear up most infections. You can also put 1-2 tablespoons of Apple Cider vinegar into 1 gal of water for him to dunk his head into it will kill some bacteria.

Have you picked him up to look for any wounds or debris that maybe there.
