please help chick in trouble...what to do?

thank you MissPrissy to be so honest and encourage also.
sorry if short with ya...just a bit frazzled after three days watching...and emotional about this little fella.

I know many do different or nothing...
a rather delicate subject in chick hatching world.

update on baby

well she/he *baby*

is doing great!
dried off...and pretty active

pecking everything she see now.

still not 100% on her feet yet...but making progress every hour she take another step towards full balance in her legs.

umbilical cord was cut she doing great there....and yolk seems to be drying almost gone? hardly see it now.
but it is now pretty blackish in coloring....mmm that okay?

also would it seem her feet/legs are swollen? she was not positioned right in egg.
I never see new born chick before but the 3 day olds we got through mail did not have such fat legs.

she has a special black dot on her neck that I think looks much like an arrow... to point her in the right direction for the rest of her life.

The feathering color will change as it looses its fluff and gains the adult feathers. All I see is feathered feet. Not swelling. Thick feet and legs can mean a male in many breeds. There that gives you something to watch for every single day.

Zoo Keeper thank you for compliment...

we name her/him "Sunny Side Up". Sunny is doing great today...drinking eating and going all over the place pecking everything it can find.
