Please Help! Chicken question

I had a cochin bantam come from ideal hatchery this winter, and about 2 months later he started walking funny his legs were spread apart. he wouldn't eat or drink , he couldn't walk at all barely scoot. I've had numerous other chicks come down with it as well. is this mareks? If not what can I do to help! I'm hatching my very first batch of my own eggs and I don't want to lose them too.

Sounds like spraddle leg to me ... What do you have them on.. Remeber to make sure they have a surface they can grip ie.. papertowels , pine shaving... Hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon to help

Not spraddle legs at 2 months of age. That usually only impacts newborn chicks.

Whatever it is it sounds contagious if you've had more than one with the problem.

What are you feeding? Might be a mineral/vitamin deficiency also...

Anyone else with any ideas??

I was thinking vitamin deficiency too.
