So I got new chicks and while they were isolated, they were still within my coop.
Seems like all my chickens are getting or got sick.
One seems like it passed with no issues, but this one it hit her hard. She is struggling to breathe. How can I help her?
She’s not eating and drinking.
I used a dropper to give her some water and oregano oil.

When are the chicks getting sick and dying? Are they days old or a couple of weeks old? What is the air circulation inside your coop like—good, dusty, any mold? Are there water spills or odors from droppings that can lead to mold or irritating breathing? How does poop look—runny, normal, or any blood? What are you feeding? Are they eating and drinking well?

I have 22 chickens in a very large spacious enclosure.
Six are 5 weeks
5 are 3 months
2 are 4 months
And the rest are between 7-12 months.
The five week old ones are the newest addition. They were in a cage within my coop.
The four month old got sick first, sneezing and runny nose. She’s fine now.
My 7 month old is the one now struggling.
I gave her hard boiled eggs and some ice water. Then gave her some meds. She’s sneezing, but it slowed down a bit.
She laid an egg just before - hopefully she’ll be fine overnight.
The rest seem to be sneezing as well.

Separate from the coop and give her good ventalation.

Water should be cool, but not icy when they drink it. Of course ice will melt quickly in hot weather. Having a lot of different age chickens can increase coccidiosis in the young ones. Do they get out on grass and dirt? Do you have bedding inside the coop? Could anyone be dying from bullying or not being allowed to eat or drink? Do you worm your chickens occasionally or see any worms in the droppings? Are the droppings all normal?
