I made the mistake…of drinking not one…but TWO matcha lattes today…at like…4 pm…so…

Also the weather is behaving like we live in Siberia. There is snow stuck onto the windows
We went up to shovel the roof a couple days ago and jumped off into the snow on the ground.
OK FINE.
Once upon a time, there was a Rupert. He lived with his rich parents in a big mansion, and had more money than most 13-year-olds. But he wasn't happy.

All his parents saw were dollar signs. Rupert made them dollar signs. They filmed him all the time, and put it on the internet for all to see. Rupert didn't like this.

One day, he'd had enough. After he'd broken his leg, and his parents made as much money as they could off of Rupert's busted leg, Rupert decided to leave. He wasn't sure how he was going to leave, but he was going to.

A few weeks after his leg got better, he woke up early in the morning. He quietly packed his backpack with his laptop, a few changes of clothes, some spare food, and an envelope holding ten thousand dollars (it seems like a lot, but Rupert did not know that yet).

As he walked down the stairs he'd gone viral on for breaking his legs on, the housekeeper, who couldn't sleep well, noticed him. She asked what he was doing.

"Leaving", he said. He explained his plan to her, and bribed her with a few hundred dollars.

Rupert's plan was fairly simple, and not the best plan to run away in existence. His plan was to get on an airplane, and head to a city in the desert. He didn't know what he'd do from there, but he did know he needed an adult to get on the airplane. The housekeeper would keep the secret. She always did.

He set out, with the housekeeper following him, as he got into the taxi he'd summoned a few minutes before. One hour later, he was in the plane, and nobody paid him any attention. The plane left, leaving his city behind.

Upon his arrival, he bought the housekeeper a return ticket, and left the airport. He was stuck there. He could not go back to his fancy house. He needed to find somewhere else. Somewhere safe, where nobody who wanted him would find him.

He walked for miles, ending up on an old, somewhat ill-used road. He had no idea how he'd gotten there, but he did notice an odd building deep in the trees. It looked like a boring wooden shed, but was surprisingly large for a shed. He decided to see if it'd be a suitable place to rest. Upon opening the doors, he noticed a stairway down, along with some illumination, allowing anyone who entered to see enough to walk down.

He walked down the stairs, slipped on the bottom step, and accidentally hit an odd red button right next to the stair's rail. He hadn't seen the button, and was a bit concerned. A few minutes later, a train pulled up, and a man stepped out.

"Who are you?", asked the man. "I've never seen you before".

Rupert replied. "I'm Rupert. And you are?"

"I'm Carlos. I run this train. What brings you here?"

Rupert told his story, and the man listened.

"Then come with me", said Carlos. He motioned into the train. Rupert followed. The doors closed. Rupert didn't know it, but he'd find a new life inside the city the train led to.
Aw poor Rupert
I kinda know what that feels like
😔
Lil’ guy just wants some privacy
Tho his situational awareness is off
You couldn’t pay me to get in a random train
