please help, chicken with leg bone out of place. emergency!!!

okay well i bought some guinea fowl to chase away snakes when they grow up, but i left them with a broody duck so she could care to them. it worked. well some leghorns showed up and i threw a rock to scare them away, i accidently hit one and thought nothing of it. later in the day i noticed she was hobbling and saw a huge bump to the side of her foot and her foot was crooked, i felt absoluteley horrible! everytime i come outside i feel that i basically destroyed this chickens way of life. will this heal on its own or will i have to pop it back into place? please help and thanks in advace for all your help.

Is she walking on that leg? Can you take a picture of it? Did it break the bone? To get it to heal, best thing to do would try to set it now. You'll want to pick the bird up, determine whether it's a break, crack, or what - and then act appropriately on that.

IN any case she needs to be up so that she doesn't have to use the foot to get to food and water. You will also want to consider how to treat for possible internal infection if a broken bone.

okay, i will get a picture and more info on it today. she doesn't walk on it but she tries, like she steps down and pulls it back up. but doesn't make any real progress.
