Victim: 12 week silver laced cochin standard. Found on it's left side last night inside coop after loud commotion. Appeared dazed and was pleased to be held....very unusual. Other chicks appeared spooked. No obvious blood or injury. Isolated overnight.
This morning still appears dazed/groggy and walking unsteadily perhaps left leg weaker than right and will not open left eye willingly. Eye appears ok. Put it in front of food and water in main run area and it ignored them. Did flap wings so all appears well there.
Should say we have an Ameracana banty who is pretty full of himself same age.
I plan to isolate poor victim inside a crate inside main run and move banty roo to a totally different area.
We are totally new to chickens having started in May. In fact, been lurking on this site for a while but just joined 2 days ago. Really appreciate the information and hoping someone can tell me what else I should do next! Thank you!
