So I don’t really know much about ampicillin use for chickens, but here is what Poultry DMV says about it and dosage:Hi! I was planning on using a warm cloth to clean the area and then extract the pus. After extraction the pus I wanted to use Neosporin on her eye. I was able to find some ampicillin and was wondering if maybe that could help? I wanted to treat her as quickly as possible, but I wanted a second opinion first. I’m not sure if the saline solution is crucial and the terramycin, it would just take a couple of days to be delivered and I hate to see her in pain

@Eggcessive or one of the other educators will have a better idea than I would on if that could help her.
I agree with you on trying extract the pus and then using neosporin on her eye, I would definitely do that. Like Eggcessive said, using a warm compress could help soften the crust and make the pus easier to work out. Flushing with saline would help keep things clean afterwards and can help clear out residual pus/bacteria.
I hope working on her eye will help her start to feel better at least, poor girl.
