Poor chick. That is awful and so disgusting. I was not able to see the photo but maybe that's a good thing.

Ok she aid lit looked like a grub worm with no legs and different head... i know that s a bit far, but its the next best to "They looked like maggots". So I think maybe it was Horse Fly Larvae. What do you think? Does anyone have a pic of a horse fly larvae?

Looks like what you're describing. Horse flies are NASTY insects, wouldn't surprise me that their larvae would be so aggressive also.
