i just tried to introduce my 6 week olds to some older pullets that are about to the laying stage. and i monitored them with me in the coop for about 2 hours, then i left the coop and checked on them about every 30 hour then i just let them go unchecked for 1 hour and i go back and my cochin was really bad. there is no more feathers on the side of his head. but none of the other young ones were hurt please help

do i put anything on her head like blu kote? i just made a spot in the makeshift brooder i have to keep her warm where she is by herslf and has food and water close by

It's up to you. I've never treated any wounds on my birds that have been pecked, but that's just me. I've heard blu kote works well. When I have to isolate a bird, I put them into my chick brooder.
