Please help!!! I found a chick and it's getting weak

Pecking with nothing going in is quite normal for a baby that's only a couple days old. They haven't quite got the hang of lifting their heads and shuffling their beaks right. If he's got no feathers yet, I wouldn't worry about it. He's probably just having a hard time figuring out how to eat.

They put the molasses in there for the goats because molasses helps regulate the bowels. it keeps the goats from getting constipated or having the runs.

The little chick is looking for contact with something .remember if it was with the hen it would be underneath the hen. it would be pressed against its brothers and sisters. it's looking for something to cuddle up against. that's why it wants to be with you. do you have a feather duster ?maybe you could set the feather duster up so it could snuggle with a feather duster. .that's a possibility.

Yeach. ..this is so true.
I don't have access to feather duster, so I will keep it close.
It just had a green runny poop! Is this serious?
It ate some egg yolk after.
Thankyou all so much for your help

you will need to make it a place to sleep. i dot think you can sleep with it all night. A light bulb, heating pad ? about 90 degrees is where it will be comfortable. i have rolled up small towels for them to snuggle. Stuffed animals , ect.. It needs to be able to move away from the heat if it wants to.

Thanks guys!
The chick has made a great recovery. It's now eating wet rice and oats and drinking water from a syringe!
It's poo is a bit better aswell!
The problem now is what to do with it?
It cant be a single chicken all its life can it?
There are so many snakes on this thai property.

As a kindness to the chick it shouldnt be alone. They are flock animals but I know people that keep a house chicken . They even make diapers for them. Can you get chick starter food for the little ? It needs protein and others things to thrive. I also dont know about what your feeding , it might need some grit. Very tiny rocks that help them digest their food. I am happy it is doing well.
