Hello!
I have a young silkie, about seven months, and I noticed her head feathers are basically gone and what looks to be scabs covering her. I can’t figure out what it so I’m hoping someone can help me here.

I went out of town three days ago and she was fine before I left. Then I get back today and noticed this. I have separated her from my others and from what I can see she’s the only one showing these symptoms. She’s also acting normal, but doesn’t look like she should.
I have never experienced this before and am at a loss. I hate seeing her like that and I want to help her.

Looks like a fungal infection, but I'm not certain. Let's see what others say.

It does look like it could be favus (ringworm), though it's hard to believe it would get that bad that quickly (it usually starts out on the comb and wattles as white chalky stuff). I'd gently wash off as much crust as I could then apply an antifungal cream (miconazole) twice a day to the affected areas. You should see improvement within a day or two if it is favus, and you'll need to keep treating until it is completely healed (which can sometimes take awhile).

Photos of the legs and feet too please - Thank You!

I'd probably clean her with a dandruff shampoo, dry her well with a hair dryer.
Apply an anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole to the affected skin.

What do you feed including treats?

I gave her a bath and used clotrimazole yesterday
I feed Purina Organic, Purina flock blocks, mealworms, sunflower seeds, fruits and veggies, and sometimes scrambled eggs and oatmeal

Cut out the flock block, mealworms, sunflower seed, fruit, veggies and oatmeal.

Focus on her eating Chick Starter (18-20% feed) and give a bit of egg as a treat.
