please help identify this parasite!

I am not sure if these are lice or mite eggs. I think mites, since they are not around the base, but I'm not sure. I live in hot, humid Houston, TX. I also noticed some light brown insects on one of my other hens, who does not have these eggs on her feather. Help! What is this?

They look like some sort of lice or mite eggs. I zoomed in big time to see. Sevin dust or Frontline will take care of the nastys.

Thanks! I kept reading and found out I could have treated them with food-grade diatomaceous earth, Orange Guard, and a new dust bath mix, but not before I rushed out and coated them with Selvin. Ew.
