We moved the bator into our bedroom and have turned it into a sauna. We have an electric oil heater (no fan) parked under the bator and my hubby's makita flashlight inside for heat. We moved all the eggs away from it. Two small jars of water inside and a sponge. Temp is at 97.9 and humidity at 64. The eggs are still cheeping (thank goodness). We turned the fan off. My hubby is watching the temp like a hawk and using a hairdryer to raise the temp inside quickly. (It went to 112, yikes!) Now we are just watching to see if we can keep the temp stable. These are my shipped b/b/s babies....they were doing soooo good!

Catwalk: Maybe that method for the one egg that is pipped? Desperate measures. Thirty simply will not fit, lol.

dont know if this will work but worth a try if all fails....you know those HOT PACKS in walmart? camping department...when you go camping, fishing, hunting...you put those hot packs in your boots or gloves...maybe a few of those in each corner of the bator...with a piece of maybe fencing to put in front of it so the chicks wont get to close and maybe too much for there tiny bodies??....just a thought...

cannot seem to get the temp above 98.6, but I have another pip!

I have a chick out. The egg with the pip last night is still not progressing. No other pips, I am worrying again.

The temps don't have to be as high during hatch. The chicks are probably just resting. My hatcher is set at 97.5 degrees.
Good Luck!

Still only one hatched, the other pip seems to be losing energy. The rest are quiet.

I am afraid I lost them.
