hi im sorry for asking so many times but i have some updates on my hen. so last night i found my d,uccle not sleeping i the spot she sleeps in EVERY night instead she was laying on a pile of eggs? that had been layed that day so this morining she was off the nest and went to free range so a couple hours later i find her sitting on the eggs again and when i went to get close to her she puffed up and started mawing at me now all of my bigger breed hens do this when they lay eggs but my d,uccle has never done that before she is at the bottom of the pecking order and is kinda scared of me so she has never done that to me and she got off the nest after i left her alone. something like this has happened before with her she was doing the same thing but never went broody i think she is trying to go broody and if she is how do i help her i would love to hatch eggs under a broody hen ive hatched eggs with a incubator have wanted to hatch with a broody but could not get none of my hens to go broody my bigger breed chickens keep runing her off the nest of eggs how o i get them to stop and what can i do to make her want to go broody more thanks so much for your help
