Hey yall, my Pekin duck, Wayne, is very sick and I don't know what to do! He was acting fine last night, eating and drinking and running around. Today he is lethargic, not eating, his tail is tucked down, seems to be having trouble breathing, and his poop is white and stringy/mucousy. I brought him inside and have been giving him electrolyte water and some water with garlic and oregano (I would have done oil of oregano but there is none in my area and I'm waiting for Amazon to deliver it) I have also given him peas and a scrambled egg (he ate some peas but wasn't interested in the egg) what is wrong with him and what can I do to help him?

Thank you!!

How old is Wayne? Can you take pictures of his poop to show us?

Has he ever been wormed? Oregano oil can be caustic and garlic can be toxic so be careful.
No, I've never wormed him. Also, noted, thank you! I had read a few things suggesting those, luckily he spilled the bowl so its not in there with him anymore lol

At 2 months is he running around out of doors now? maybe he ate something he shouldn't have. Do you have any activated charcoal?
Did you try making a small amount of his feed soupy with warm water? sometimes when they won't eat they will drink their feed if made soupy.

I can try the activated charcoal, do I just mix it in with his water? And no I haven't tried to wet down his food but I will! Thank you
