please help me figure out if i got duped

bird baby serious question.. are you new to pheasants? If so im going to give you some rock solid advice. when your reeves hatch, sell them all as chicks. Reeves are very very aggressive birds, and require a pretty good amount of space. They will kill each other if they dont. And 9 outta 10 times the rooster will attempt to shred you into pieces every time you go in the pen.

I am new to pheasants , i have read that they can be aggressive but it sounds more like they are as a rule .i really want lady amherts but that didnt work out to well for me. I also find peacock pheasants appealing i am looking for something that can be kept with other birds like turkeys or hopefully one day peacocks . I have also herd that pheasants are hard to incubat ,of six eggs five are developing so maybe they will hatch. Are lady As nasty the person i got the eggs from had a female beat up real bad from the cock

no lady A's are not bad tempered at all. if the hen doesnt have adequate space and places to hide, cocks can really be rough on them in breeding season. thats with any species. Your best beginner pheasant species are red and yellow golden and amherst. reeves arent hard to keep and are good breeders and hearty birds, but theyre miserable mean. start with the three above and see what happens before jumping into more difficult species and youll have much better luck. also a heads up, its a general pheasant rule not to house them with domestic fowl like chickens and turkeys as you run this risk of respiratory diseases bieng passed to your pheasants.
