First if all, I'm sorry, ..but I have no way of uploading any pics of him at the moment. I can't even find an online pic that is similar to his skin condition, but I'll get to that in a moment..

Yesterday, and suddenly, my roo was VERY lethargic, and I thought he was at deaths door. He wouldn't eat or drink, and just laid there in the grass all day. Early in the day, I did chop a boiled egg, and he had a few nibbles of that, but that was about it. He wouldn't even come in at dusk with the girls, ..he just laid in the grass until I went out to get him.
I went to a feed store for advice that morning, and they gave me electrolytes for the water, and Peck No More to put on his rear.
His symptoms yesterday: Very lethargic and listless, drooping tail, loss of appetite.

His comb and wattles are fine. Poop is normal.

Now for the skin condition that has been going on for a few months now. I have checked repeatedly for mites and lice, yet see nothing. He has rough, reddened skin on his rear end right under his tail feathers, redness on his feet, and sparse, stalky feathers in this area. The shaft is bare, with ragged feathers on the tips, ..yet it is confined to only this area. It seems very dry, and there is white, flaking skin here as well..similar to a sunburn peel on a human. ..only much drier.

I also have two hens, yet they show none of these symptoms. My birds eat layer pellets, treats, (seeds, nuts, berries, and they love cheddar cheese)..and they free range.

Now today, thankfully, he crowed this morning and seems to have perked up some. He ate a little bit, and is at least moving around again! I'm going back to the feed store when they open to get meds, ..but I am just not sure what I'm dealing with here, or which issue to treat him for. I'm not sure that the skin issue, and yesterdays lethargy, are even related.

He has never been wormed, yet I'm not sure if this is the issue either. I'm at a loss. Please help if you can.

Whoops.. forgot to add, my birds are two years old.
