Hmm... Could the second chick be a light brahma? Random guess lol
That last one... I don't know it looks like a standard faverolle to me, is it bigger at all? Oh I wish they labeled these guys. I want them all though, its a problem
The last chick is a tiny little peanut...every bit as small as the other bantams. There's no way it could be a lf chick. It's only about 1/3 the size of my lf chicks. It has the extra toe and in all other ways looks like a faverolle...what else could it be?
probably, do you have any better pictures? I mean it could be a sussex or even an orloff... Its kinda hunched and I would have to see it standing up I think?
Ok, these chicks are 2 weeks old now and beginning to feather in, so I got updated pics to try to make this easier....
I didn't put pics of the mottled cochins, as those were easy to ID from day 1. Here are the 3 that still have me wondering.
Chick 1:
2 days old
2 weeks old
Chick 2:
2 weeks old
Chick 3
This one has 5 toes and pink skin, but is starting to get very strange, Silkie-like feathers.
2 days
2 weeks
I realize that coming from TSC, these are not great quality chicks (has zero effect on cuteness, however) but I can't for the life of me figure out what these little boogers are supposed to be.
Chick #3 looks for all the world like it's supposed to be a Silkie at this point, except for the fact that it has VERY PALE skin and a yellow beak, and no sign of a topknot. Do the hatcheries sell flat-out mixed breeds? I mean, I know that their "pure bred" chickens tend to leave a lot to be desired in the quality department, but do they actually purposely sell cross-breds? Hmmm.
