Please, help me identify my chicken!

The one looks like my EE. When I was given her, the previous owner told me she was an "Americana". I think that's what he bought her as. But, when I did research, I realized she was an EE. She lays a light brown egg - no colored eggs for me. Well less color than my Isa Browns lay. Lol.

:welcome

Would you please post better photos of the one allegedly a Dominique? A nice standing profile view would help. Also what is the leg color?
Hi! My apologies for the delay in responding and I will definitely get you a good photo of her, but I won't be able to until tomorrow. It is currently crazy-windy & below 0 degrees F. where I live, so the girls are hunkered down for the night. Her legs are yellow.

I bought some just like that, labeled as ameracauna, all these experts will tell you they are Easter eggers, which they probably are. In reality it's probably somewhere in between. They are good chickens, flighty and late bloomers.

Your Dominique looks like a Dominique. Some folks see barring and presume barred Rock but the rose comb should be a dead giveaway.

Ideal has been breeding EEs since way back when they were all "Araucanas" regardless of appearance and they have a bit of a quarrel with the standards that were created later. Theirs are typically pure for the blue shell gene so you're almost certainly going to get blue or green eggs. No, you cannot show them as Ameraucanas because they don't meet the standards but the egg genetics are what most folks buying them care about, anyway.

I stand corrected...her legs are black.
