please help me identify

I got this little baby from a friend. I thought it was a silkie but it only has 4toes, they have feathers on them though. It has some speckles, maybe a week old. Do you know what breed it is? Thanks!

Your little cutie is likely more in the 4+ week range - he/she is far too feathered out to be a week old. If your age guess is based on size I'd say it is likely a bantam - and would further guess d'uccle. I *think* I see dark feet, is that correct?

I'm thinking d'Uccle, too, maybe a Booted Bantam if she never grows any beard.

Do you have a pic of the comb, though? hard to tell what it looks like from the pics, but it looks like she might possibly have a little bit of silkie blood in her, but it's probably removed more than a generation because there's no crest or extra toes. The tail shape and dark skin make me wonder.

I thought about a week because it was mixed in with more little guys. Yeah the feet are dark gray, no comb showing at all yet. There were some silkies so it might be mixed. It is so sweet,the nicest chicken I've had.I have a day old baby chick that it protects,so cute.i will look up d'uccles,thanks!

Ah, is the little bump the nostril? A big nostril covering [cere] could be another indicator of her having a small amount of silkie blood.
