Hello. I just spent my morning cleaning out this space to use as a chicken coop. My plan is to lay new flooring and run mesh wire from roof to floor over the cracks between boards and around soace between walls and ceiling. What else do i need to do to make it safe? Also, any tips on roosts, nesting boxes etc. will be appreciated. I took a video but cant get it to upload, hopefully pictures will be okay.

mesh wire
Nice space!

What kind of mesh do you have in mind?
Meshing the eaves from the outside would probably be easier(see My Coop page).

Might consider an anti-dig apron:
Good examples of apron installation, tho I'd not recommend 1/2" HC...go with 14ga 1x2 or 1x1, will hold up much longer and is easier to lay flat.
