I need help sexing these guys, please. 2 are purebred amerecaunas and the yellow one is an amerecauna X buff cochin mix (standard, not bantam) In the 1st pic, they're a week old:

Here they are about 2-2 1/2 weeks old:

3+ weeks old:

5 weeks old:

6 wks old: You can't tell b/c of the flash, but the 2 on the outside have combs that are turning pink. The center one (lightest one in above pic) still has a flesh colored comb.

The best way I tell is at a week old the ones with tails are girls and the ones with fluff just starting to get tail feathers are boys, but I can't see that in your pics.

I didn't know I had to pose them a certain way or that you could tell from tail feathers. These are THEE very first chickens I've ever owned in my entire life. So I was just taking pics b/c they're cute and they're growing so much. Not with the intent I need to sex them by the pics. They're all older now, just haven't had time for new pics. I'll try to get them soon.

new pictures would help alot, and enjoy them

Well I didn't think it'd really matter much, as a lot of people seem to be able to sex at the 3-5 week age range that these pics were taken at. I took a bunch of new pics this morning, but my batteries are dead so I had to charge them then finish pics. I'm going to upload them now and resize them otherwise they post WAY too huge. But I need to take the dogs out and also feed/water all the baby chicks and then the adults, and then maybe I'll post them around lunch time. I'll go get the camera and plug it in in a few minutes...

Okay, I just took these this morning.:

Here's the Houdan at 6 1/2 weeks:

My 2 gold laced polish bantams:

The next 2 pics are the same GL. I took pics of the other one, but they were blurry or something. I'll have to retake.
It's teh same bird as the one on the left in the pic above.

Buff laced polish, 6 1/2 wks.

My purebred Amerecaunas, 1st one I'm thinking roo. You can barely see it, but it looks
like the combs a litle more developed and getting red.

And this one I'm thinking pullet b/c the comb's not really growing and it's pale.

Here's the [pullet?] above w/an Amerecauna/Buff Cochin mix for comb color comparison.
They're the same age.

Here's the buff cochin X amerecauna mix pictured above. He's really getting red!

Same as mixed bird above, just a body shot. I turned the flash off in the above picture so
you can see the comb. Otherwise the flash brightens it out.

White bantam cochin. I've been thinking roo since it was 4 wks old. (6 1/2 now in this pic) but some lady
told me you can't just go by the red comb and wattles b/c everything develops differently and also each breed. does.
She said she's had fast developing pullets before so not to judge on that alone. (don't mind his wet feet, he ran thru the water dish multiple times when I was reaching in there repeatedly grabbing chickens for pictures.
