just to wrap up my sick birdie story-
im glad i culled her now.
she was much smaller than the others.
i thought she was younger, but i think it was more because of her being chronically sick.
i did a necropsy as so often suggested. it was pretty "choppy." my first one.
inside was small hard (large marble) tumor type things,
and at least 2 hard masses of "internally laid eggs." i did a lot of research to figure out
what this stuff was. she was well on her way to lots of (more?) suffering.
these findings also lead me to believe that she had infectious bronchitis.
my birds were given to me by a man, stranger actually, and he was very sick.
im still id'ing the breeds! she was a blue ameraucana.
my clean legged salmon faverolles turned out to be
a wheaten ameraucana!
anyway, im glad im in chickens again.
now, i have to give really serious health exams to all of them.
wish me luck!
