....Did pop door fail to shut? Did all chickens not make it into coop because of storm? ...

I had a automatic chicken/coop door. Until I came home one day to discover the hens were MAD because the door hadn't opened that morning!!!!!! I discovered that when the electrical power was interrupted or blinked the door would cycle. If the door was open when the power was restored the door would shut and if the door closed it would open.

I'd suspect your coop door did the same during your storm.

Don't be sorry. Older threads have pertinent information. Many people instead of doing a search just start new threads when they may find their answers in older threads.
