Hi
I recently purchased 6 bantams and two of which I believe to be Rouen ducklings and have a few royal palm turkeys on order. Now I am trying to figure out my coop plans. I plan to have a separate area for my ducks considering they are soooo messy and will have a pond, but do intend on housing everyone together in the beginning. I have a nice sized wood storage shed which I am going to turn into their coop which will be large enough for all. My next issue is getting a run put together. I have thought about this long and hard and because money is tight I was thinking of buying a portable green house and attaching it to my shed.
My plan is to of course not use the greenhouse cover but to cover the entire thing in wire fencing/coop material. I am very clueless though, I can picture it but making it happen is another story. My husband works out of state and will be gone until winter so it is up to me to make this project happen. Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. I do not know the best way to tackle making the bottom secure and safe from predators or the best way to go about attaching the wired fencing to the frame of the greenhouse. I'm not even sure if this is the best idea but seeing as though I am no carpenter I think it is my best option. I'm hoping this is also a cheaper option. I am attaching photos of the greenhouse I am looking at purchasing for under $100. Thank you soooo much!
